As Trickle is an extension for the Shopify Flow app, you'll want to make sure you have that installed on your store before installing Trickle.
Note that Flow is only available to merchants running on the Shopify Plus platform. If you're currently using a lower tier of Shopify (Basic, Shopify or Advanced), you can learn more about upgrading from the Plus website.
Most of Trickle's documentation assumes that you're familiar with the core components of Shopify Flow (triggers, actions, and workflows), so if you haven't used Flow before it would be a great idea to read through Shopify's excellent Flow documentation.
Shopify also has a great general resource on Ecommerce Automation that can provide you with some great ideas the elements of an online store that can be automated.
Once you're happy with the above, you can start the installation by going to the Trickle install page, entering the *.myshopify.com
name of your store, and clicking "Install".
You'll be asked to approve the installation of the app into your store, and then approve Trickle's recurring charge (remember, you have a 14-day free trial, so if you decide Trickle isn't for you and uninstall it before then you won't be charged a cent).
Once that's done, you should be presented with Trickle's landing page:
As an extension to Shopify Flow, there's not much for you to do directly from the Trickle app home page (apart from admire the sweet pen graphic, I guess). All of Trickle's triggers and actions are available directly from within the Shopify Flow app, in the "Trickle for Flow" section on the Flow sidebar:
Once installed, you can simply add Trickle triggers and actions into your workflows the same as you would for any other third-party app with a Flow connector. Documentation on each of Trickle's unique triggers and actions is available from the menu on the left-hand side of these docs.
